I have been subscribed to the NUG list twice; once before it was
recently shut down and now since it has been back up. Both times, I have mysteriously stopped receiving all e-mail from the NUG list. Just looking into what might be the cause. The last time this happened, I was told by someone at RB that my 'spam filters' must be blocking them, but I don't see how this is the case. The spam filter for this e-mail address has been turned off and has always been turned off. Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

RBNUBE,
It happens to me too. I have XP Pro with spam blockers so I wonder if it is a cause of it. But only the NUG group is effected, no tthe others groups I have as well are affected. I have XP Pro, but haven't seen any built-in spam blockers. Is this a
part of your e-mail program, or part of XP? I also only have problems with the NUG list. I don't think it's a matter of the amount of mail either. I have signed on to another list that generates much more incoming mail than the NUG list, but it's never done this to me. I also find it interesting that I stopped receiving mail from the NUG list a few months after having subscribed. Then recently, once they took the lists down and brought them back, I could again receive mail from the NUG list. After two months or so, I again stopped receiving mail. I'm not aware of any configuration changes on my machine or my e-mail server that would cause something like this to happen once let alone twice. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

I use AVG for my system and use the email AVG for my incoming and outgoing
emails. I have talked with Jason of RealSoftware and he is asking if there is anything I am doing differently and I told him no. He then he was going to look into it but from his last email, don't think he found anything either. Strange is all I can say. Thanks, Johnathon.
I also spoke with Jason (the first time this happened), and currently speaking with Janet. I just sent him another (updated) e-mail explaining the situation. _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

I received a reply from Jason who pretty much said it's impossible that
there is a problem on their end, but he also stated that the listserves were never down. Am I hallucinating that the listserves were down for a couple weeks or so in the last 3 months or so? I even remember the website saying that they were down and that they would be down for a 'short time.' _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

>Perhaps that is what you were thinking of. So, there was an interruption of the archives, but the listserves were still sending out e-mails? I sopped receiving all e-mail from all RB lists until I happened to notice that the statement on the RB website had been removed. I checked fairly often. Once it was removed, I had to sign on to the lists again to begin receiving posts. You didn't have to do this? _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

I have regularly received everything on all of the lists I subscribe to for a very long time. There was a period where my server was having problems and my mail was getting delayed but that was many, many months ago. All mail was eventually delivered but the time stamps were messed up a bit. I even got some that said they were sent in 1904. I wouldn't know if it was possible, but perhaps someone is playing games and unsubscribing you. You might have accidentally verified their actions in the automatic letter sent to you from RS. This is purely hypothetical and speculation on my part though. Judging by your letters, I would doubt that RS would be dropping you from the lists. At least, not without a warning first. I think you would have to be breaking the rules quite severely to have this happen. There might also be a bug somewhere that could be affecting your subscriptions for one reason or another. It could be at RS, your own server or within your own email client. In my case, the same problem happen in a regular amount of time (like
the original poster: near 1 month). I hope someone is not unsubscribing some emails regularily! I think this is coincidence. The archives do nothing but check an email account that is subscribed to the lists so they aren't closely related. > It makes no sense to me.
