Hi list, We are now in the "brainstorming" stage with our next success application. Do some need the application? Yes, absolute a very big need. Customers: REAL Software NUG and Alpha/Beta lists users - MBS List users - and perhaps other mailing list users. Application: When the list users click on the "Reply button" in applications like Apple Mail the mailing lists posts should be trimmed by auto, or at least give some beeps and a big text in reed color like *TRIM YOUR POST!* flashing 100 times. Competitors: None Pricing: The app should be very cheep ( 99 USD ), we think this app would generate a lot of sales already the first day. Hints: We only develop for Macintosh, so need help to test on Windows and Linux. Any suggestions? Make sure that it also checks for hijacked threads. I think that it should also include rude sound samples that are played when the user does the "wrong thing" as well. ;-) Tim _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

It looks like we need to ad and ad more features... We already added a check to avoid Endless Loops, after five messages we put: "This Thread/Subject is Closed" in the Subject Regards from Sweden, Sven E _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

Do people need it: yes
Do people think they need it: no This is an app that would help other people to be less annoying. It is an app that provides no direct benefit to the customer himself and thus it would probably be very difficult to sell to him. To be honest, $99 is very high in my opinion. I think you would have difficulty marketing it as a free download (in this case your probably right to charge more rather than less). Sorry to be negative, but I think it is better to give you my honest appraisal now, rather than after you have sunk a lot of engineering into it. -Scott _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html> |

The problems is often that it is the salesman that is negative. This little story is about two shoes salesman. One from Sweden and one from Norway, the company sales staff sent them to the middle of Africa. The Norwegian sent a message on his iPhone back to the sales office: I am coming home again, no one use shoes here! The Swedish salesman send the message on the iPhone: Please ship all the shoes that is available, no one have shoes here! Strange, this is for professional list users. > > Sorry to be negative, but I think it is better to give you my honest > appraisal now, rather than after you have sunk a lot of engineering > into it. > We already running into an problem, that we don't understand. We have the following Error message that pop up ... Type mismatch error. Expected Boolean, but got Caprichosa We looked into the LR, but there is no Caprichosa at least not in the menu. Perhaps this is some difficult, it would be easier to just send an message "Please trim your post!". Thanks for your reply, it is always interesting to get some more info and ideas.
